Here at Devon Actively Green we are strongly commited to helping various charities as well as the environment

Our main charity is the IPPL(UK) - the International Primate Protection League (UK)

This is an excellent charity who's aims are the protection of all species of primate, please check out their web site and read about the fantastic work they do.

In order to help we collect used ink/toner cartridges and old mobile phones to be recycled in aid of IPPL (only brand name cartridges - but not Epson, and not ones already refilled or toner bottles).  We can also send you a small envelope so you can send small cartridges and phones in yourself.

We have also just adopted one of the IPPL's gibbons - Elizabeth, who is being cared for at their gibbon sanctuary in America

Elizabeth is a white-handed gibbon (Hylobates lar).

She was born in captivity at an amusement park in Florida and shortly after rejected by her mother.  This early trauma seems to have left is mark as Elizabeth is often seen sucking her thumb.  From nine months old she has been raised by the wonderful people at the IPPL. She is now living with male gibbon Ahimsa and as gibbons bond for life, her future is looking very happy. 

Although the IPPL's gibbon sanctuary is in America they do a huge amount of work worldwide and have a strong base here in the UK. 

We would encourage all our customers to consider supporting them in whatever way they can.  The more help and awareness they get - the more excellent work they can achieve.
